General comments
Bij mannen > 35 jaar met lage verdenking op SOA of indien SOA diagnostiek negatief ciprofloxacine po 500 mg 2dd 14 dagen. Bij voorkeur kweek insturen gezien het resistentiepercentage tegen quinolonen onder coliforme Gramnegatieve staven.
Bij klinische behandeling < 35 jaar ceftriaxon intramusculair 500 mg vervangen door ceftriaxon iv 2000 mg 1dd.
Bij klinische behandeling van mannen > 35 jaar met lage verdenking op SOA of indien SOA diagnostiek negatief kweek afnemen en starten met cefuroxim iv 1500 mg 3dd + eenmalig tobramycine 7 mg/kg. Bij voorkeur switch naar ciprofloxacine po 500 mg 2dd bij bewezen gevoeligheid.
